Goodbye Ballinasloe!

Iedereen weet waar alles is, ik heb alles doorgegeven, alles wat ik mee moet nemen van kantoor zit in me tas. 17.31 - 14 Juni - Ierse tijd.

I’m going home... and although I love to see my boyfriend,parents,sister,doggy and friends again, I’m sad at the moment.

It’s a long time ago since my last post, sorry for that! I made an evaluation report for Ada English and finished my report for school. The weekend after the visit from my sister I went to Derry for the Masterclass of Paul Gudgin. It was a very interesting masterclass in event management. We (Colm, Daniele and me) went to Derry on Sunday the 27th of May. Colm did the opening of the masterclass on Monday and left me in charge there. In the evening Daniele and I visited Derry. It’s a very nice town and we were in a good hostel! A good few days it where!

The last few weeks were a lot of research work and evaluation reports. I’m finished up, gave all my tasks to others and am done.... Last Thursday I had my goodbye party in the pub. We (the AOIFE office) had a lovely dinner at Colm’s house and went to the pub after that. I got a beautiful bracelet from the Soroptimist ladies. It was a memorable evening.

Today the office said goodbye to me with a lovely card and present. I gave them an ‘intern guestbook’: all the interns can write a little story about their time with AOIFE so that it becomes a memory book (thanks mom!!!). Tonight I should pack my things because I’m going to Galway tomorrow to see Pauline and Dominique (we fly back together Sunday morning), the only thing is that Ireland is playing tonight (I won’t mention the dreadful game of yesterday :S)  and I rather go to the pub to see that (a).

I will go back to Ballinasloe in May next year so I did not say goodbye but See Ya!!!
